This has been a wonderful project to work on. I wanted to break the stigma surrounding the German uniform by showing how it, and it's equipment, evolved (and degraded) throughout the war and to show it wasn't all just fashion and glamour (like a lot of people still think when they picture a German uniform.) You can see that the initial design was so impractical in terms of materials, while the allies had already thought of this when they joined the war. If anything, these illustrations really show what war really is, a machine. And I encourage anyone to dive into the history of war so that we can all prevent these things from happening ever again.

I started this project as an initial pitch to one of my local war museums and they've gladly accepted my involvement! Which I'm extremely happy about. The illustrations will be incorporated into the museum whether physical or digital in the near future.
